The Space

Ground floor apartment in private house. Nice 2 bedroom apartment, terracotta tile floors, well equipped kitchen. Comfortable, has ceiling fans in living and kitchen, ac in bedrooms. Or, just leave the windows open and listen to the sounds of nature at night. Bathroom is nice, with tiled shower. This is the ground floor of a 2 unit home. The yard is shared and has room for surfboard storage. Private back patio with furniture and gas grill is perfect for hanging out and relaxing after a day of adventures. House has wi-fi and satellite TV with premium channels. Washer and dryer available. Beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, umbrella, and coolers area available for you to take to the beach. The house is only a 4 minute walk to Shack's beach and from there you can walk the beautiful unspoiled beach for miles in both directions. Shack's beach features fantastic snorkeling, diving, surfing and kite surfing. Famous Jobos beach is only 1.5 miles away. House is also walking distance to Villa Montana, Eclipse Restaurant and Ola Lola's Garden Bar. We are located in a private and secure gated area of only 4 houses. Wonderful tropical paradise feel, but still very close to everything.

Guest Access

Beautiful grounds with a large yard and garden. Papaya trees abound, help yourself. Feel free to enjoy the outdoors.

The owner lives upstairs, I live next door. We are both available, and happy to help answer any questions or provide recommendations.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is tourist friendly, but not overly "touristy". There is a great, laid back vibe, and the locals are very friendly. This is a big area for surfing and outdoor activities. Miles of beautiful, undeveloped beaches are available to explore. English is widely spoken here, as well as Spanish. The population is a mix of Puerto Ricans, expats, and people with seasonal homes. The upscale Villa Montana resort is right down the street. Two restaurant/bars are within walking distance- Eclipse Restaurant on the beach, with a romantic tropical atmosphere, and Ola Lola's Garden Bar, which is friendly and laid back, and is a great place to meet the locals and other travelers. This is a unique area with a strong sense of community.

Getting Around

It is recommended to rent a car, although you could find most everything you needed within a 15 minute walk. Taxi transportation is available from the Aguadilla airport, which is about a 10 minute drive away.
